From todays ADDY :

Chambers changed in the ruck with Steven King against Essendon, allowing the Cats' number one ruckman to spend some time forward.

``We said to Paul if you jump and compete, and give it your best then it gives King a rest. He did exactly what we wanted from a second ruckman. He's done his chances no harm at all,'' Thompson said

Paul Chambers by a mile, Peter Street is probably the worst player I have seen in a Geelong Jumper he should be thankful that Mark Blake missed the draft age limit by 3 months.

Chambers by a proverbial street!!

I honestly didn't recognise him on Friday night!!

I'd say the guy has grown into his body and obviously his mind too.

Dreadlocks are gone, 31 on the back and not a sign of the 'unco' title all night.

I was impressed!!

The guy is still only young isn't he??
Street may have to work very very hard to catch up!!

I was really disappointed with Street's performance against Collingwood in the Wizz Fizz Cup. He gets pushed aside far too easilly for a ruckman and until he comes up with a way to get around that, I can't see him remaining on our list.

That #31 must work miracles for the players that wear it. :D

Chambers biggest advantage over Street is that he can play in other positions.Street can have a short spell up forward, but thats about it.

I'd rather staple my scrotum to my chair than watch Street play a full game of footy.

I'd rather Tim Hargreaves & Mick Mansfield still playing and giving away stupid free kicks followed by 50m penalties than watch Street play a full game of footy.

I'd rather play Hawthorn every week and lose by a point after the siren after leading by 18 goals than watch Street play a full game of footy.

So, I'd say Chambers... but by a whisker.

Street looks destined to join Leigh Brockman as another of our early picks who never eventuated into anything at Geelong...

Sounds like Mr Chambers, although a ruckman, is a little short in other areas!!!

I haven't had the chance to see him yet this yr, all i remember was that he was pretty unco but still was serviceable. If his co-ordination is there he should be ahead of the walking beanpole.

If Street is hopeless around the ground, then i'd hate to see an honest description of Paul Chambers skills.

I dislike both, but Chambers is god awful around the ground. He fumbles every time and is incapable of taking a mark above his head.

I'm hoping neither play, hell if Unco is being considered, we may as well give up on the backup ruckman idea until the next draft comes around (the arrival of one Mark Blake).
