With the 2 favourites the Pigs and the sixers doing crap who do people think will win the title? I think Perth should be favourites followed by Wollongong. The Kings IMHO will falter as they seem to have a tendency of screwing up and are highly unlikely to take it out this year

I think the title odds should be something like this:
Perth 5/2
Wollongong 3/1
Sixers 6/1
Tigers 8/1
Pigs 10/1
Kings 12/1
Cannons 30/1
Giants 40/1
Taipans 40/1
Crocs 60/1
Bullets 150/1

I dont think the Wildcats are favourites. You cant ignore Sydney's start even if they do have a tendency to fall in a heap. I would say that the Kings are outright favourites at the moment followed by the Hawks and Wildcats with the Cannons as the best outsider.

I'll put a thousand on the Cannons. Can I collect now???:D

I am really good at ignoring the Kings :) Give it 5-6 weeks until Shane Heal has his annual crumble. Kavossy and Chris are good, but the Kings are chokers, their coach is a choker and hopefully they pass this on to those 2.

As much as I hate the kings I think they are the real deal this year. They may not win the thing but will go bloody close, injuries permitting of course. The HUGE difference this year compared to previous years is they finally have a very good PG running the team! Shane Heal ain't gonna crumble this year, all he does is catch and shoot with the odd drive through the lane (the key, not Travis :D).

They are second faves at the mo', just behind Perth, and that is only because of finals experience. i.e. Sydney aint got none.
Woollongong are playing well but I get the feeling they haven't got anything left come finals time. That leaves 6ers, Tigs, Pigs and Cannons fighting for the last three play-off spots. Canberra has been flattered by a very good draw to start the season with 4 of 6 at home and only playing one other side in the current top 6, they aren't that good yet (sorry Devo), maybe in a month I'll change my mind. Huge question marks over Melbourne, can they keep the big 4 fit enough to keep 'em on the floor? Without all of 'em they struggle.

Forget the rest, maybe cairns and the giants will be the pretenders.

We went 8-1 in the Pre Season including two huge wins a over the Kings and are currently 5-1 in the regular season yet we are still ignored. I love it.

Not being ignored by those in the know mate.

The Cannons are 8-1 with the bookies, i'm sure they should be shorter.

I aint ignoring them. I will be very surprised if they dont make the playoffs. Going all the way though...not sure about that.

Preseason form doesn't mean ****.

Yes the Cannons are 5-1 and sitting 3rd. Their results so far are:
Home wins over Townsville, Brisbane, West Sydney, Giants
Away win against Adelaide
These are the bottom 5 sides!
Away loss to the Tiges

My point was they have only played one team in the current top 6 and lost it! Until Canberra play (and beat) teams in the top 4 they could not genuinely consider themselves a top 4 side, let alone a threat to the title. Devo, you can talk 'em up all you like but the facts speak for themselves. They will probably make the play-offs, but where is the big question, I don't think it'll be in the first three.

C'mon Bulldog, having the Kings as championship favourites is one of the key reasons they falter every year :D

I'd still have them as favourite anyway, their form is most impressive and unlike other years, the Violet Crumbles actually seem to be playing defence this season (inspite of giving up 130? against Perth). I'd have the Wildcats 2nd, followed closely by the Hawks, then the Tigers, Pigs and Cannons.....throw a blanket over the rest.

Last season the Tigers made the semis virtually without Andrew Gaze and an injured Mark Bradtke.
This season they are fit, plus we have added better back-up then last year in Matt Reuter and Neil Mottram. We are a chance
