Not surprised. They would have seen how we struggled against Sam Darcy and look to exploit what they perceive as our weakness.

If we are serious we should put them away comfortably. 13 days vs 6 days and they already can’t run out games. Add in the wide expanses of the MCG. No excuses for us.

Their losses haven’t been horrible margin wise but they’re hanging on by a thread right now and I reckon they’re about to well and truly break.

Absolute must win.

This is nonsense. If we win by five points I will be thrilled. If this season hasn't taught you that past form means nothing, and each game is going to be won by the more desperate side then maybe you haven't been watching. The break is also overrated as a factor. I've lost count of the times commentators say side X should finish this game far stronger due to their extra days rest and the opposite has happened.

Just win.

Pies right now, at this stage of the season, are the superior team. Carlton is staggering, their coach is under enormous pressure, and their fans have turned feral.

We, on the other hand, if not exactly humming along, are not far off it. We will be fresh after the bye. De Goey will explode after his rusty game last week. And don’t underestimate the impact of the games we played in hot and humid conditions - we’ll be relieved to have that behind us.

I’m unusually confident and really looking forward to this game.

P.S. I hope we have a plan for curbing TDK. He’s playing unbelievable footy ATM.

McKay will be back if the issue was just performance anxiety etc. if it’s rec drugs you’d say it’s unlikely.
