Membrey has kicked almost as many goals in a single game for Collingwood than Cox kicked in an entire year last year. He kicked 30 goals last year from 19 games. Let’s not pretend that he’s not a significantly more threatening forward presence than Cox is in 2025.

Definitely a better team. The fact that Membrey is capable of 80% game time instead of having one player sit their arse on the bench for half the game is extremely valuable in and of itself.Forward presence? Yes.
Are we a better team or winning team? We’ll wait and see.
This is a great point.Definitely a better team. The fact that Membrey is capable of 80% game time instead of having one player sit their arse on the bench for half the game is extreme valuable in and of itself.
Its a no brainer against these slow flogs. Membrey all day every dayThis is a great point.
Cox's TOG was 52%, Membrey was 81%. When the game opens up for us in the second half, you want to look up the ground knowing one of Membrey, Mihocek or McStay will present to the ball.
Kemp is the one that worries me. He's super athletic with sticky hands. He's very hard to match up onSo if Harry doesn't play, which you presume he's not if he's not at the Captain's run, are we thinking:
Moore goes to Curnow?
Frampton goes to Young?
Howe / Maynard goes to Kemp?
Howey?Kemp is the one that worries me. He's super athletic with sticky hands. He's very hard to match up on
Still can't understand why Rossy gave him the bootDefinitely a better team. The fact that Membrey is capable of 80% game time instead of having one player sit their arse on the bench for half the game is extremely valuable in and of itself.
Curnow for meKemp is the one that worries me. He's super athletic with sticky hands. He's very hard to match up on
I think the general view was that they wanted to get more games into the kids, who would push them into contention.Still can't understand why Rossy gave him the boot
Watching Curnow the last two weeks, he looked like a non-factor after half time. Trying to mark with one hand and running under the ball. Just need to weather the storm and make him earn it in the first half.Curnow for me
Seems to fire up for us
And you can’t touch him
Would love to see a comparison of Curnow V Cox free kicks and the crap Mason has to cop with no frees compared to old Goal Attack Charlie for the Carlton Netball ClubCurnow for me
Seems to fire up for us
And you can’t touch him
Why do you think there was such a difference in TOG%
He would be nowhere near match fit to run out games so if its a hot contest tomorrow he'll be running on fumes again late. We should be trying to exploit him the other way as much as we canWatching Curnow the last two weeks, he looked like a non-factor after half time. Trying to mark with one hand and running under the ball. Just need to weather the storm and make him earn it in the first half.
Third game in he should be up and about.Watching Curnow the last two weeks, he looked like a non-factor after half time. Trying to mark with one hand and running under the ball. Just need to weather the storm and make him earn it in the first half.
I hope Membrey is our 2025 version of Luke Ball - goodbye Saints - hello flagI think the general view was that they wanted to get more games into the kids, who would push them into contention.
And tbf they have won the last 2/3 games.
At worst he would still have been very good depth for them. He's only 30. In hindsight it looks a weird move.I think the general view was that they wanted to get more games into the kids, who would push them into contention.

For sure.At worst he would still have been very good depth for them. He's only 30. In hindsight it looks a weird move.
Not just Saints though, the whole thing is wierd. At worst he would still have been very good depth for them. He's only 30. In hindsight it looks a weird move.
Individual players heavily influence the scoreboard
The only answer is that not even other footy clubs are particularly interested in what happens at St.Kilda.Not just Saints though, the whole thing is wierd.
He was an unrestriced FA. How did he not get signed by anyone during trade week? Not even we were interested enough then.
