even so - close to half the capacity is AFL members and MCC Members combined, which are neutral seating regardless of whose home game it is - plenty of Carlton people would have planned to go in those sections (especially as AFL members had to book several weeks ago before they know how rubbish they would be lol), and they'll likely prefer to stay home now I would think!

But definitely our home game and the club members going, will fill it more than if it had been Carlton's home game. Without a doubt.

I think, think, that pre-purchased tickets that don’t show up still get counted in the attendance

I think they have to be swiped on the night to register in the attendance figure.

On average age…

The stat in itself doesn’t matter too much. In Collingwoods case it’s not so much having a lot of over 30’s ( although Pendles skews the stats but that’s another story).

In Collingwoods case we have a lot of players just at or under 30, smack bang on the average. It’s the quality of these players aged 27-30 that matters and in Collingwoods case it’s think the quality is quite high. Individually many of them have 3-4 years left at the top which gives us tons of time to replace retiring veterans

Sub doesn't need to have versatility if others in the team do. Start Jordy forward, when Membrey comes on Jordy into the midfield mix.

McStay will be giving Cameron a chop out which leaves Mihocek alone up forward if Membrey is sub.

With McKay out I wonder if Frampton still plays or he's maybe sub.

Imo I hope they use Frampton to play tight on Curnow. If he gives a few away so be it. The upside is allowing Moore to do his thing 3rd up.

Carlton will play 3 talls forward
Curnow Kemp and Young
If Moore takes Curnow, Frampton and Howe to take the other 2

I’m always most nervous when we are big favourites. We have a long history of not bringing the necessary level of intensity and breaking supporters’ hearts on such occasions.

I never have that same worry when we are underdogs or in even-money games.

Please Pies, bring the heat from the start and get it done!!!

82k is the current estimate from the MCC/AFL. And that is massive.

People get a bit carried away with numbers. In our entire history, we have had 13 H&A matches in front of crowds of 90k+, 10 of which have been ANZAC Day clashes. And none of the other three involved Carlton.
Would love to see a list of all teams with a 90k plus. Most clubs wouldn’t have had any

Seventeen games of ninety k plus. Four of them didn’t involve Collingwood. ANZAC Day a big contributor.

Some added stats, on the Round 4 named sides, the Blues have a list that as +3,759 original Draft points variance or 20.79%.
We have 7 1st rounders to their 9.

Not worried about being favourites. That’s old Collingwood thinking.

We’ve been favourites often under Fly and mostly we deliver - with some exceptions and the (ahem) odd close finish.

It’s the mindset - embrace favouritism. We deserve to be favourites. And the other mob don’t. Simples.

We all know deep down in side that Carlton are going to come out guns blazing as they always do against the Pies. The slightest drop off by us will result in tears all around on this forum. We need to start the game like we were four goals down at 3/4 time and pile on the pressure straight up. This is going to be a real tough one. It is one where we should prevail. I'm doubling up on my blood pressure pills tonight and having the defib on stand by.
