Unofficial Preview Changes vs GWS

I’m working on the assumption that Oscar will handle the centre bounces and Cameron will do the bulk of the work around the ground while Oscar drifts forward
I could see it predominantly being a centre bounce thing
I strongly suspect that this is one of those let Fly cook moments especially when you couple it with the announcement video and his comments on Howe.

I’m also not sold on Parker going out simply because Howe’s back. He misses this week for me only because GWS are likely to go tall with Hogan, Riccardi and Gruzewski plus Brown playing a small role. Bigger bodies feels like the way we’ll go and then he returns v Brisbane.

Excited to see Steene finally get his chance. Shame that Buller most likely gets droppped because I wanted to see how he’d go this week, but hopefully he gets some confidence in the VFL. Guess we got to remember he’s only played about a dozen AFL games so he’s still not an established player at senior level just yet.

So am I right in assuming that buller will make way for steene?

Will be stiff to get dropped after his second game at Collingwood. Can't see membrey getting dropped and having all off buller, dc and Oscar in the same team.
I think that’s a reasonable assumption, a ruck for a ruck. Given the new ruck rules DC needs a better chopout. Plus Buller needs to find some form.

Membrey won’t get dropped after being the only tall last start who played ok despite missing set shots. When he goes out it will be for West.

Seems like West's best position will be like that of Fogarty at Adelaide . Where he is the 3rd key tall behind thilthorpe and walker.

I’m not sure how to project him - he’s an inch taller than Fogarty & Tex, but not sure he’ll ever be as heavy. He plays more vertical than those two too

West definitely isn't main key forward materialc could be proven wrong, but just doesn't have the feel of one . Can we really see West hitting the 95-100kg mark ?

I assume you mean the missing set shots in the saints game? he didn't touch it for 2 quarters v crows and managed 3 touches for 1 goal overall.

I don’t mind it at centre bounce, but my god Briggs will demoralise him from then onwards. He kicked what 4 that day? And brushed him aside like he weighed 70kg around the ground.
I think he'll play chop out forward/second ruck. But we might flip the norm. With the second ruck starting the quarter and then Cameron taking over ruck once the opposition ruck has lost some leap.

Moore and Howe will do wonders for us. Frees up players like Bruzzy and Quaynor without having to stress about taking on the oppositions biggest forwards.

The delivery into the forward line I’m expecting to be a lot better this week.

I hope we hunt and tackle and go after these guys like they did to us in Opening Round last year.

We’re due.
