On channel 7 the guy said it didnt look good and would miss a few.:thumbsd:

First they said it was bad, then Olerenshaw changed his mind when he saw the replay of Chappy running about in the rooms.

Chappy looked at Prismall at the end of the game and shrugged, so here's hoping it is only a week. They took it easy with him, and he didn't put any further strain on it by coming out, so could be only a short absence.

I'm glad we've learned a couple of years ago we'd have thrown him back in to make sure he tore it!

He was tearing them up tonight, thought he might end up with five. I reckon along with Selwood his last month of football has been terrific.

The radio were talking him up like he was going to come back on. Just precautionary removing chappy from the match - cold nights at the G and hamstring's don't mix. He'll play (and dominate) against the hapless tigers.

Looked more to be playing it safe.

If the hammy was gone he would not be running the boundary, running in the rooms, walking freely off the ground and bending over with ease in view of the camera during after game interview with Bomber.

If anything they might leave him out for a week, just to be safe. (Here's hoping being a Richmond supporter)

But hey who knows ... im no doctor.

Was *this* close to trading him into my Dreamteam this week.

Phew!

If we've shown anything this season, it's that we can cover players with our excellent depth.

I made him my captain this week - was expecting him to have a big one and if he hadn't gone off no doubt he would've had 30 odd possies and at least 4 goals!

Chapman was jogging around at the three quarter break, so it was most likely tightness. I'd be surprised if he missed next week.

He's had hammy problems before,so I'd be suprised if he played next week. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Ling was jogging around before his cheek surgery too.
 There's a massive difference between a face injury and a hamstring injury. If Chapman had strained/torn his hamstring, then he definitely would not have been jogging around.

I agree that there is a good chance he might miss next week, but that would only be because we're versing Richmond. If it were a top 8 team, then he would definitely play.

Same thing happened to Richo, came off with a hammy, jogged the boundary and then missed over a month of footy.

Could well be a top 8 side by next week ;)

That's true, and I'm not being cocky or anything, but if we were versing a team such as the Hawks next week then Chappy would almost definitely play.

I don't know about 'almost definitely.' Bomber seems conscious of niggling issues and is always more willing to rest men than to bring them back for a big game.

Unbelievable!! Traded Burton 4 Chappers this week in DT, was choppin up aswell, damn!

We play Richmond followed by Melbourne. We'll have Milburn, Ablett, Ling and Wojcinski all available for selection so i don't see it as a huge issue.

looks like nothing serious we can cover him if he was to be rested for one week to recover... MMM thought it was serious than changed their minds so I'm not too worried. Just don't want any serious injuries running into the finals.

plus you wonder if they may even give someone like Hogan a run in the next few weeks. He was an emergency last night,so he must be close to getting a game.

you think boundary riders like olarenshaw and maher would quit making quick and ridiculous assessments of players when they come off the ground. Tell me who in their right mind is going to believe Olarenshaw when he says 2 or 3 week injury when all he saw was him go up the race. Looks foolish when they bounce back a matter of minutes later i.e. Maher's assessment of Stokesy in the GF last year....laughable. Get some facts before running your mouth. Bring back Doctor smooth, he was a good boundary rider on Friday night football. Someone with knowledge of sports injuries. Someone who's opinion you'd respect
