I haven't heard anything on his injury and i saw that a lot of people picked him up before he was a late withdrawal, is he a definite starter this week?
Hopefully he is due for a big one and he usually scores well at the dome.

From what i have been read/told it seems the reason he was a late withdrawal was that he had hamstring soreness.

If he is light on the training this week, i would think that he is a given to start.

i hope so, i traded rioli for him, so i hope that trade pays off cuz my forward line in mint

By the sounds of things, he has already been ruled out of this weeks game... I'm so dark!

I've heard conflicting reports, apparently it was only tightness and he was very close to playing last week though was rested as a precaution to not further the injury. Other reports have suggested he is only 50-50 to play this week.

Most sources are reporting that he has a 50/50 chance of playing, so I guess I can just hope for the best as I picked him up last week.

At the very least, I'm confident that one of my bench players (tippet and Gamble) will do better than they did last week.

I'm pretty sure they gave him 6 weeks rest last year (in two 3 week blocks) due to a similar injury. They may do the same again this year? I'm not confident he will play this week.

yeh if u dont have him now dont get him, this is fukd, got him last week an has totaly stuffed me up

he wont play this week at all

This happened to me last year, picked him up the week he got injured. Glad I managed to avoid that again...

Damn frustrating ... waited as long as I could last week to bring him in (always try and delay as long as possible just in case of situations like this) but brought him in a couple of hours before the lock out (and before news filtered out that he wasn't playing) as I wasn't going to be able to get online again before lockout.

Made even more frustrating by the fact that Rioli (who I traded out) scored well and that Tippett as my emergency only got half of what Nathan J Brown normally scores!!

Oh well, out of the eliminator now so will just hope he gets back soon and helps me in my league and overall!

I was the same... I upgrade Cloke to Chapman and downgraded Rioli to Valenti on friday afternoon. Having drinks at work meant I wasn't going to go back to my computer to worry about checking the teams just before the game, so delaying it wasn't an option for me.

At least I had Valenti as emergency and not Tippet... Really hoping Chappy comes in, then it'll be the first week with no rookies in the forward line. It would be:

BJ (trading him in this week)
JB
Chapman
Pav
Didak
Deledio
Porplyzia

Otherwise I'll have to play Tippet/Valenti in Chappy's place.

MY Forward Line:

Buddy, JB, Pavlich, Riewoldt, BJ, Fevola and Tippet (Playfair and Jetta)
11 trades left, I am interested in Chapman, but if i dont trade him in this week and Tippet does not beat his average of 45 points. he will lose $11,000 and i wont be able 2 pick chapman up, should i trade him in this week? or is there a better option? surely chapmans injury istn TOO serious...

Do you want to take that risk?
Otherwise Gia is a good option.

yea i forgot about Gia, he is a good option. my overal rank is around the 20,000 mark, having a poor season. so i'm looking more to win my leagues. so i think over the next 12 rounds Chapman will score more then Gia. Providing he stays fit.

Yeah he will probably average more then Gia.
I am going to bring in Chapman when he's back.

makes it very interesting.

I always fear buying players from the poor teams because come end of year they are dropped to play the kids and finish up around r20 to get end of year operations.

Now however, because there are always 2 or 3 dominant teams, they rest their good players when it becomes obvious they are going to make top 4.

Geelong hurt a lot last year with Chapman and Bartel missing portions towards the end.

This year, already Ablett, Chapman and Ottens have been given extra cautoius approaches. Makes it very hard for a DT'er.

Chapman is probably the best chioce premium forward going around...but its a gamble.

only has hamstring tightness but would that make him miss 2 games?? doubt it i feel he has strained his hammy why isnt he getting any publicity for this on the news.
