For those that are not aware,every Wednesday in the Herald Sun there is a full page ad that appears normally in the lift out TV guide section but it can also appear on other pages.

Anyway "getwinesdirect.com besides Wines always have a special on a carton of Beer,this varies every week,like Stella ,Corona and this weeks special is Crown Lager at $29.99 a carton. Cut out the coupon.
They are located at 157-161 Burnley St.Richmond.

But the secret is you don't need to go down to Richmond and buy it,all you have to do is go to your nearest Dan Murphy cellar stores and they will even better it,but you must present the coupon which appears in the ad.

I went to my local Dan Murphy store in Berwick yesterday and paid only $29 for a carton of Crown Lager....what a deal..

But there is a limit of 1 carton per person with one coupon,but all you have to do is get some of your mates or go to different Dan Murphy stores.

It works all the time.

The add also appears in the Age but on different days normally on Thursday and the deal only last for 3 - 5 days.

Murphys? Fosters are truly ridiculous. They manage to screw their own brands up and devalue them without help from anyone else. They totally screwed Wynns up when they cut the arse out of them to Murphy's years ago. Still suffering to this day.

I worked in the booze game a long time ago. I have a healthy disrespect for both Murphy's and Fosters. What Fosters did with their wine brands was criminal - not sure if the new 'wine offering entity is the right step forward either. But since I started free-basing, I'm not interested in booze, merely an interested observer.

What about what Fosters did when they changed the hop strain of Cascade Pale to save a few cents per keg. Criminal.

Murphys and fosters are seaparate. Screw cascade but summary is reduce alcohol content and save on tax

I know they're separate.But with some of the pricing that Murphy's appeared to access had many wondering whether, despite all their assurance, there wasn't different LUCs.

As for Cascade, the changing of the hops changed the beer... it was a great beer. Changing the funadmental DNA of your beer to eke out a minimal cost saving is a bloody disgrace. Reduce the alcohol and reduce the excise, or reduce the conatiner size by 30ml.

Quite seriously though, Fosters seem to have made a hash of their wine business and devalued some seriously strong brands in the process.
