People say that Essendon supporters are teenage bandwagoners and use the young age of the members in the cheersquad as an example to prove their point. Really, shouldn't cheersquads be made up of younger people and their parents. You would think that it would be a bit strange for grown adults to be waving streamers and spending so much of their time sticking crepe paper together, learning chants etc.

I am sitting in the Ponsford stand on Anzac day. Will that be the end that the Collingwood Cheer squad sits at? From what I have heard it is a pisser to watch grown men in that cheer squad act like total ****ers, wearing wigs, starting fights etc. Football is great and I love it but there are bigger things in life. How can they possibly concentrate on the game when they are standing and singing their songs? What on Earth would make them devote their lives to a Cheer Squad and where is their self respect? Don't they work? Don't they have families or friends to spend time with? What is wrong with these people?

I sat in the Ponsford last year; I was worried I would have to put up with the Collingwood ferals too, but they had actually put the cheer squad in the second deck (I was on the first level behind the goals). Essendon's cheer squad was at the other end, but it was our home game. I assume that since it is away this year that their mob will be on the other end.

East Keilor? Know any Hockings?

Mustapha, where bouts in E.keilor are you?

As for cheer squads, never wanted to join one and never will. Ours is mostly filled with kids and parents. Then you get collingwoods which is filled with 'grown men' acting like tossers and are the most foul mouthed group of people to sit near with kids. This week they probably will be at the ponsford end.

In-laws. They live in the Pavilions too.

I'm moving in there next month when I come back, and will probably end up staying there until I get a visa that allows me to work.

So if you ever encounter a seppo around the subdivision or down at the centreway, or have in the past, chances are it is/was probably me.
