do you guys think the touted move of polak from CHB to CHF would be a good idea? granted that polak is a future AA CHF and moving up now will improve his development to no ends, it may leave the backline lacking. on countless occasions polak saved our butts by pulling down a contested mark as teams rained in kicks from the stoppages. if we can't stem the flow, who is going to plug the hole in the dam wall?

whilst mcpharlin is an execptional player, his marking ability is a distant second to polak and he will be under pressure as the only genuine tall in the backline. yes, we could put croad to CHB, but i don't think he has performed as well in that position as polak (plus croad ain't the sharpest tool in the shed!). are we potentially leaving us short in the backline?

also, what about pav at CHF? he's an exceptional mark, kick and good around his feet. i think he'll be a more reliable forward than polak for at least the next season or two. but of course we would then have to cover pav's absence in the midfield...and that ain't easy!

i'll be interested in everyone's thoughts.

If I was Connolly, Pavlich would be the permanent CHF no doubt about it. Have a look at the elim final, and see what happens when Pavlich is moved forward .... it was too late by then though.

As for CHB, I definitely think McPharlin can handle that... as long as Hadrill is comfortable tackling all the full forwards in the league, including Lloyd, Neitz etc.

I'd shove him at Full Forward cos he's a great overhead marker and close in he can kick a goal. Not too long he will put on muscle and will be unmoveable and unstoppable.. He should make a nice Full Forward I reckon because we need one.

Either that or draft Darren Bradshaw from the draft.

Polak to CHF

MacPharlin at CHB
Hadrill at FB and Thornton to take the third tall forward - the role Polak played this year. I thought Thornton was a bunny at SF but he can play - needs to tidy himself up a bit though!!

Pavlich can play where he wants. Forward, back and midfield a bit like Hird does putting himself where he can be most damaging.
