Who should they be?

I know he works with all of the young ones, but each year he seems to take on a particular project(s), rides them like Seabiscuit and the results have been good to excellent.

Dusty is now a star. Griff was delist material until Chocco got a hold of him and at least got him good enough so that we wanted him back in for an EF when he hadn't touched a footy in ages.

Typically he chooses younger, talented blokes with questionable work ethic and/or unfilled potential.

I reckon:

Yarran
Tyrone
Lennon

Yours?

Agree with your calls but I wouldn't mind seeing him take on kids like Rookies, and lower draft picks either, Drummond, Menadue, short. Working very hard together , great for bonding/team building as well...

While we're at it could we clone Chocco? Just not enough of him to go around...

Obvious ones are KPB - Astbury/Elton,
Youngsters with talent but not quite there - Lennon, Elton, CEllis (?), Menadue
Mid age but could do better - Yarran, Moore, Townsend
KPF's - McBean, Griff
Ruck - Hampster, Ivan Jr

Lots of choice.

Depending on whether they reckon Griff, Astbury etc (i.e. already been to the school of Chocco) are good to go, I'd look at Ivan Jr, Menadue, Lennon, Yarran and Moore. From my limited (but extremely high quality :p:confused:) insight they sound like those that could do the best with some Chocco TLC.
Ivan Jr has the tools to improve out of sight by reports. Menadue has awesome ability and fast tracking him would potentially deliver huge upside. Lennon I love to watch as he has the tools, but needs to be more involved and push himself. Yarran because if we can get his A game we get a potential AA grade match winner.

Not too much to do Chocco?

And while you're at it get the captain a bit more able to destroy a hard tag.

Gonna be a bit left field here.......Conca.

Now, I love cuddles, but I reckon he is unfullfilled. Don't reckon I have ever seen him rock hard fit, always seems to carry a bit of condition (i know what that looks like, trust me) and I reckon that doesn't help his soft tissue issues.

Choco needs to cane the shit out of him so he turns out first game next year looking like Ben Cousins, and he would deadset tear this competition a new areshole.

And 100% agree with other posters re Ben Lennon, kid needs a rocket. They would be my two.

This is thread about development.
I assume the Pies don't feel Treloar needs any, given they're paying more than Geelong did for Dangerfield.

Trent Cotchin

Captains dont get 9 touches in a final - Unacceptable and no more excuses need to show what he is made off

Getting Married hasn't helped the cotch and really needs to become Elite (loved his game against the hawks and that should be his standard)

Sadly I both like and agree with this post.

I'll go with all three of the new boys - Yarran, Townsend and Moore. Each starting a new chapter at a new club after being in the system for a few years. For whatever reason, couldn't make it or were unwanted at their previous clubs and found themselves out the door. Bit of Choco magic to help them settle and flourish would do nicely!

Of the existing players, I'd say Elton, Conca and McBean. Conca in particular has the talent but needs to stay fit and on the park. A bit of luck and he'd be a great addition to our best side. Smart user, good head (just don't ask Devon Smith) and goes hard when he has to. Elton and McBean have both had snippets of senior footy and could become important players in the next 12-24 months with the right development so Choco helping mentor those 2 in particular would be welcome IMO.

I thought Conca looked as fit as a drover's dog in the EF.

I have no idea of what happened with Yarran at Carlton, but I hope he gets what he needs to be an elite footballer while at Richmond. If that's Choco love then make it happen.

Lennon's the one.... massive potential but needs a rocket up his rs.

Lennon was one of Chocco's players last year. I went to a couple of pre-season trainings and after the normal session, Lennon was one of the ones to have a bit of 'Chocco time'. There were a few other blokes and for the life of me, I can't remember who they were (there was only 4-5 of them) but all they were doing were old school one on ones. Chocco would throw the ball in the area of two players and let them go head to head until one of them won the contest. I remember Lennon because Chocco was especially hard on him and I reckon it showed in his footy this year. Watched the Hawks game again tonight and he did some really nice things. I reckon he'll be having a big year next year.
