If he doesn’t score a senior coaching gig, who here would think he would be a fantastic addition to our coaching ranks. Dimma obviously rates him, and they know and get on well together, so there is already a working connection, and he said this today -

Meanwhile, Hardwick said he was confident former Port Adelaide coach Mark Williams - who Hardwick dealt with as a player at Essendon and assistant coach at the Power - would be back at AFL level.

“He’s a star Choco ... he’s a guy I’ve got enormous respect for. I love the bloke to be perfectly honest,” he said.

“He was terrific for me as a player but also as a coach ... look, he’s going to find another job in AFL footy. He’s too valuable a commodity to be out of the game.”

If Choco didnt see it as a demotion, it would be awesome.

I dunno but I do know I hate it when a footy person I like (in this case Hardwick) talks like knobheads such as Mark Allan, Sam Newman, James Brayshaw or Liam Pickering when they say "He's a Star!!!!!"

Eagles, Bombers, Lions or Carlton are the only ones i can think of who could replace their coaches. If not those, an assistant to Sheeds has been thrown up in the media. Its just a long shot, but it would be a great addition for us.


Another great addition i hope will happen (as some murmurings have been on radio in the last 6 or so months) is Balmey to come back "home" Its no secret he and Costa arnt getting along, so it might be the perfect time for him to make the move. What an off field addition to the team that would be.

They mentioned on afl teams tonight that he has been offered a game day coaching position at GWS with Sheedy overlooking all the other aspects of coach.

It was on the segment of "Gimme Something" so don't know how much truth there is to it.

Yeah i'd had loved if Sheedy had stayed as part of the Tigerland, NOT !!

Tho, Choco is more human that arrogant Sheedy prick. I think it'll be hard for him to step back tho, it's not like that he "dabbled" in the coaching game for a few years like Laidley, and it didn't work out.

And after the drink & larf we would feel sorry for Knighta as a much loved ex Tiger & I for one would prefer him back as an assistant rather than Williams.

Nothing against Choco but I reckon he has bigger fish to fry...

Couldn't see Williams becoming the pupil to a formed pupil of his and having said that I don't think we need him.
