What's the story? Suspended indefinitely... not on the Nets roster. Is he coming back?

I just read this, apparently he has lost the weight that caused his suspension:

Chris Childs has dropped about 20 pounds at the Duke University weight-loss clinic, and could rejoin the Nets next week.

Childs reported to camp over 230 lbs., and now is down in the area of 210. Team president Rod Thorn said Childs, who was suspended by the team, could rejoin them for practice on Thursday. His return to active duty, however, would not come until several weeks later, whenever coach Byron Scott is satisfied Childs has learned the motion offense.

I didn't think Childs had a bad year last year. Too bad he hit the donuts in the offseason.

During the Nets game the other day, the commentators were ragging on him and saying that the Nets mgt gave him the message that the Nets were serious about winning a championship and that he`d better be too. Fair enough.
