G,day blue baggers
Just your thoughts on how Judd is going please? He still seems to be doing ok whilst not setting the world on fire like hoped. Is his groin still troubling him a bit or is it just taking a while for him to get back full fitness and form.
Murphy and Gibbs seem to be doing ok and take some pressure off of him.:)

still recovering wont be at his brilliant best this year... maybe towards rounds 15+? but im not expecting it
expect him to have a ripping year next year

yeah judd will take time he said earlier this year that he wouldn't get close to full fitness till about round 10-12, so gotta give him time.. he's still got his great kicking, strength and decision making, just lacking his explosive speed from the groin, will have a blinder soon hopefully...

Enough with the Chris Judd hreads, their is atleast 2 a day these days. And always asking the same questions.
Enough with the Carlton threads - there are at least twenty a day.
You put some threads out there BlueFan4 - we await your originality, may it match your negativity
Erical, keep asking your questions - most of us are happy to answer

Thanks mate.Judd is a great player when on song.It is a shame he is not his 100% explosive best at the moment which is good for footy.Just hope he doesn't explode against us mob:eek:

Forgive my ignorance of OP but is it usually an injury which only takes a matter of time for the player to return to 100% or can it affect the player long term? It's been said Luke Ball has lost pace and he seems to have had OP for quite a while. If Juddy takes some more games this season to get full fitness I think we can all wear that.

Anyone with a more than basic knowledge of the injury that can shed some light on what we can expect?

G,day again blue baggers
How did Juddy play yesterday as I was watching Port and Sydney so I missed it?

Judd statistically wise played a fair game... but being at the game you see all those little 1% he does... provides a tough contest... in at the ball getting his hands on it (being in the tackling pack)... creating play and forcing pressure.

Judd was beaten and harassed all day and ran himself ragged, it's no wonder by the 4th quarter when he was having those 2 shots at goal he struggled to make the distance. A man who is recovering from a surgery is going to take a good 12 months to get his strength in his kicking back and by the 4th quarter his still recovering muscles would have been sapped of energy.

As said plenty of times toward the last few weeks of the season after he's obtained more 4 quarter game conditioning he'll be back!

Only had the 19 touches yesterday, but it's what he does with them that counts. He's slowly but surely get up to match fitness, and you'd have to think that his 2nd half of the year will be better than his first.

But next year will be when we see the Chris Judd of old. Right back to full fitness, and having a preseason under his belt as well.
