Not surprised.

But still very sad and interesting to watch and hear.
Absolutely.
Also very inspiring no matter my beliefs or otherwise.
Hopefully it's a sustainable way for him to move forward. Such a terribly hard thing to overcome so hopefully he sticks at it. Signs are great.

Hope he gets healthy and can pla a bit of footy for Swans next season in the WAFL :thumbsu:

Thats massive, he has been through hell!

Watching these guys run around on a footy field you have no idea what they are going through in their day to day lives. Ice is ******* nasty, I hope he stays off it for good.

And Good on him for putting all of what he has been through out there, cant be easy. By doing that he might just help someone else. The bloke deserves some luck, I hope he can get back to the AFL.

Where is this from?

A mutal friend who played with Yaz back in his swan districts days posted it - not sure where it has come from though

As long as Chris believes all that, that's all that matters for him. Hope he is content, sounds like he could be.

Good on him, hope he stays healthy.

Goes to show how much the AFL including our club, and Carlton (?), have swept under the rug. I think drug and alcohol counsel services need to be invested in a little more. Even just more amphetamine testing if anything

Wow, thats pretty ballsy.

Thats is whats called being open and honest!!!!

I would toss him a rookie spot.

Provided the drugs haven't stuffed him I think he has passed the hard bit not that I am experienced in that sort of situation.

I actually believe his conviction. 99 percent of what I hear I think is BS but I think Yarran is real here.

Give him a rookie spot, give him some confidence and hopefully his renewed belief will pull him through with a little support. I think he is a better shot than Cousins. If we miss it costs us a rookie spot. I can live with that balls in his court. I would not have picked Yarran in the first place but if he comes back as a rookie, works hard and makes it happy to be corrected!!
imo
He would have to be totally honest all the way though IMO, warts and all, if allowed back.

One thing about the smarts, if offered ice it can't be a good night ever cause any trip is BS so if Yarran does come back probably better to be a in a position to do instinctive structured things assisted by coaching allowing a little creativity and possibly flair rather a central architect role requiring a lot of rationale with super clever decision making that clearly was absent in his drug taking choice option previously!

Holy shit. Have to admire his honesty and I'm stoked he's in a better place now. I have no problem with religion as long as it's used to help people in a positive way.

From someone who suffers depression and anxiety i applaud him for getting the strength to change his attitude, no matter how much he tells people that JC saved him it was all him. He is his own saviour.

Well done and good luck on your new journey, thank you for sharing with us Chris you are a star.

Well done for speaking about it even though its not one else business.

I wonder if he had issues before coming to the Tigers. We obviously didnt do enough research or his problems just got worse.
Sad
