Current Melbourne draftee Jack Fitzpatrick suffered from it in the past. Was highly rated beforehand, but ended up slipping to #50 because clubs weren't sure how he'd go with his history of CFS. I'm hoping he has overcome it, could well be a bargain pick-up
Also my best wishes to aussiedude and deadly, hopefully can overcome it also.
Is it a temporary or lifelong condition?

Yeah mate, that sounds like a truly terrible affliction. I will admit that previously I have been a sceptic at times but what you are describing sounds utterly debilitating. I hope it gets better for your and you can get back to some sort of normal life.

ditto

the thing is rest is one thing and keeping your body on an even keel is another. you said you only eat one meal, well thats bad. you should be eating smaller meals, but its esesntial to be eating more. on top of that, go on anti depressants because being in a good mood can help your body too. i dont know what your attitude towards helping yourself is but if you are a chronically negative thinking this could be killing your chances of helping yourself.

Dude! I know your heart is in the right place but did you not read his symptoms? What has the poor guy got to be positive about.?

I have a mate who was a carpenter and used to love playing sport. He developed CFS and had to give up his job and his wife had to go to work(they had three young children at the time). He also had to give up playing sports which devastated him. There is no way it could have been all in his head. He had too much to lose.

well your mind is your body. your body isnt in the drivers seat your mind is - most physical problems which cannot be explained such as chronic fatigue have mental roots. he can be positive about helping himself - that, and doing good is all you can do! i've had chronic fatigue for six months, and the first thing is that its slow to get better, but keep doing good stuff, but only ever what you feel you can acheive (and no more). be patient.

well there is no proof that its got mental conections, there are proven problems with liver, and iorn storages, but i stay positive as much as i can i get angry and frustrated at times. but for the most part i keep a smile on my face. and i have a large peice of land with 2 dogs and a 16month old cat so they keep me happy its easy to be happy with a young playfull cat because they are care free and it cheers everyone up, and my dogs one is 13 so he doesnt do a lot but the other is real active so with pets its easy to stay happy, lie with them and stare outside at the birds.

and in the last week ive been feeling worse im feeling weak in my arms and leggs they just feel jelly like because my whole body has such a lack of energy

feel sorry for anyone who gets this, having had glandular fever very badly, i can't imagine how much worse it is..
