Hey there's a Civ 3? Where have i been? I've been playing Civ 2 for about 3 years now and I still love it. What's the major differences between the 2?

I played civ 2 and it was brilliant but i think3 is better. The culture aspect in that a city with higher culture can eventually 'conquer' another is great. Graphics are better too. Still civ2 has lots going for it.

I played Civ 2 and its good game. Never played Civ 1 but been told Civ 2 is much better, so I am looking foward to Civ 3. I have not seenit anywhere so I keep a lookout for it.

Most computer game stockists have civ 3.Expect about 45-50 bucks. Great value i reckon. When i get stuck into a good game of civ3, i am lost for 2-3 weeks!

Civ 3 has been out for probably a year now mate, you should be able to pick it up at Harvey Normans for $50+

Major differences(without mentioning the obvious graphic upgrade)is that dimplomcy takes a bigger role. You can no longer do the old C&C "tank rush"The computer AI is smarter and individual units seem to have more strengths and weaknesses. There is always something happening too IMO.In Civ 2 you could just sit there for ages upgrading your technology and empire and build a big army and then go crush the opposition.

In Civ 3 the other computer countries are always bothering you. There is always something to do in a hurry.

Great Game

I rented Civ 3, tried it and uninstalled it. Don't reckon it comes near Civ 2 - still playing, the only game NakedDeadGirlfriend wishes I had never bought... it's so bloody addictive, just one more turn I promise!

Despite having Civ III I still play Civ II more than any other game. The biggest thing lacking in Civ III for me is the lack of unexplored land, the map fills up way too early.
