During the next year I'm going to claim as many deductions as possible, mainly for my car. I've started keeping a logbook but as yet I don't have any real reason to claim anything.

In the TaxPack it says basically if you begin work at home and continue it at work you can claim that trip, what work would you have to begin at home? Could I do some paperwork (or at least say I do) in the morning before I go in and claim that?

For when I go home, I was considering claiming trips to take work to a colleague who lives near my house and works partly from home, could I claim this trip?

Basically, what exactly can you claim, without just quoting the Taxpack

Courier, some sales jobs, work from home type consultants, i think these would be the types of jobs req'd to claim travelling from home.

First question - what kind of work do you do??? Obviously the type of trips will vary if you say work at Coles compared to being salesman...
