Must say I enjoyed watching this show last night on Fox Footy! A replay of the last quarter against the Bombres in the 1995 Semi Final.

While that side was a little down on skill and one dimensional in it's game plan, you can never ever label them as soft or not hard at it!

Gees, there were some hard players in that lot - Turner, Bond (cleaned Fletcher up a beauty), Prescott, Rogers, Maxfield, Howat to name a few.

Also looked funny seeing 'Brownlow' Campbell with the long hair again!

That was a great match CJH but the most classic Qtr wouldhave to be the famous last round match against Caaaaaaarlton at optus oval . 1999 or was it 1998? Anyway we beat them & knocked them out of the finals i am still ROTFLMFAO .:D :p

Funny, I could swear that was 97. We beat Freo that day & I'm pretty sure had they won they would've replaced The Blues.

Oh & on that 95 game it's always been a good one to watch every now & then. Poor Essendon they were soooo confident too ;).

They showed that quarter on Seven's Match of the Round at midnight Saturday night during Round 2.
It was good to again see that quarter:)

I think you are right there BT! 1997 was the year that Walls got sacked and the Giesch took over. That win was the one that effectively got him the job!

I was actually discussing that Caaarlton game with a mate today - we were discussing stupid reports - and how Ross Funcke was reported for not taking the most direct route from the ground while being unconcious on a stretcher!
