Poor thread. You are joking aren't you?

Lockyer has had 2 quieter games after being BOG against the Blues and Clement has only just come back after a long lay off and has been more than serviceable.

From memory Tarks was our best against the Tiges too wasn't he? Can't remember.

Apparently. Media talked him up throughout the game. Played at 2006 standard for the last month worth of matches, with exception of Carlton.

Heard Clement on SEN after the game. He basically said he is not happy with how he is playing and his body is the worse for missing a pre season and 12 weeks during the year. Lockyer is being targeted by the opposition and that is why his output has dropped. It would have been hard to keep going at the same level all year regardless.

What we see with Clement is the effects of time catching up with him. He is starting to scrag a lot more and give away more free kicks. All we can hope from him is a good preseason and hopefully the vintage Clement will be back in 2008. But for this year I'm afraid he'll be our weak link. It was a wise move to drop Presti, because we cant fit him and Clement in the same team at the moment.

I wont even comment about Lockyer except to say his drop in form two weeks ago co-incides with me drafting him into my Dreamteam. Seriously though, with O'Bree Didak and Pendlebury missing in recent weeks, Lockyer became the only man left in the midfield, therefore easier to target.

N. Buckley might take some heat off this week. It would be a brave coach not to put a serious tag on Buckley.

If Buckley's good enough to be selected!!!. :) Pendlebury will be better for the run after breaking a foot, and Stanley and Clarke will be in line for promotion to replace Johnson, who frankly I doubt we'll miss too much. Davis's progression to the midfield on the weekend was encouraging, and R Shaw is getting better week by week as he gets miles in his legs. O'Bree is still a concern - I'd rest him if he wont kick with his right leg - Licuria can replace him.

Tarks will get a bit more help in coming weeks.

I am worried about Licuria. He played very well for Willi but you would expect that. I suspect MM will recall one of his warriors and it will be a mistake. I'd love Licuria to prove me wrong because I have great admiration for him but his lack of pace and poor disposal are not being offset by great tagging and ball gathering any more.

Ben Davies was good again on the weekend as well. I have my doubts he is good enough but as you and others have said before he has done everything to get his chance.

Tarks tagged to the shit, Clement had 22 odd touches against Carlton is still recovering from an ankle and hasnt been as effective running the ball out as he had had to play full back as presti was still sore when he came back.

Stupid thread both are fine

I was kind of implying the same thing in my post above, without actually saying it. I would not select him unless he was replacing another plodder. Licuria in for O'Bree is acceptable - Licuria for Johnson isnt.
