Is this kid likely to line up for the rest of the season. Especially now that Gasper is out.

Dream Team question no doubt.
No reason to drop him yet. I'd say he'll play more games for RFC than Coburg for the rest of the season.

Of Course.

Not sure how Gasper influnces Huges selection, but if he keeps playing the way he has the last 2 weeks don't expect him to be dropped

In the richmond FC it says that Hughes could be a long term replacement for Gasper.

Hughes was being groomed as a full back but wasn't doing well enough to get a game.

Coburg threw him forward one day and he kicked 5 goals so we gave him a game.

He kicked 3 goals in each of his 2 AFL games.

So I'd say he'll be lining up at CHF for a while yet, but don't expect him to play all year as we have Schulz, Richo, Hughes, Kingsley, Pattison, Polak/Simmonds and Riewoldt all capable of the KP forward role. Atm he's safe for several weeks, but he's only played 2 games it's hard to judge.

was never being groomed for FB or a key back position, it was purely a development phase. Teach him accountability, as well as the workrate of forwards like richo when leading him on a merry dance in pre season hit outs.

Seems to have done the trick

I would say he is safe for more than the next two weeks. im just about to get number 34 on the jumper! He looks very good and i am impressed with his two games so far this season. If schulz can manage to stay injured it looks like we have two good forwards for that inevitable day when Matty retires.
