Dee_molisher is very right. Not playing Rivers in the elimination final, unfairly dropping sylvia to the vfl where he got a season ending injury are a few examples.

Think you guys are being a bit harsh, how was Neale to know Sylvia would cop that injury the VFL, and i agreed in his decision to drop him at the time, he wasnt setting the world alight.

The Elimination Final was a major mistake of his, playing Heffernan was the worst decision he's ever made IMO but it didnt change the result of the game, we got beaten by the better team.

Rivers is a young player and didnt have the form to come back after an injury. The fact that Sylvia didnt get over 10 possesions the 3 weeks before he was dropped is unfair? and injuries are just a roll of the dice, hardly ND's fault.

Form is really kind off a poor excuse. Sometimes you've got to accept that young players will not star but the experience they gain will proove valuable in the long run. Players like Godfery and Hefferman should not have replaced any young players last year.

Isnt it also valuable to teach young players that good performances will be rewarded and that consistency is required?

But is that being taught?, using Heffernan as an example, he did not display that consistency so he was dropped , rightfully so, but yet IMO didnt do enough for Sandy to deserve a recall but still managed to find his way back into the team ahead of the likes of Armstrong and Williams who would star week-in, week-out for the Zebras.

The enitire team was struggling at the time, Im sure Sylvia was not the only player to get under 10 possessions. And the only reason why he got that was because he wasnt on the flaming ground. You have to persist with players like sylvia as they carry the teams future. So yes it was a little unfair to drop him because if you have a look at sylvia's best games last year(against Richmond, Carlton and Brisbane) those 3 games were the games that he got the most game time. Hmmmm, how interesting:confused: . It doesnt take a brain surgeon.

neale needs to give the younger players more of an opportunity to prove themselves coz he barely gives them much ground time and thats why we lost stevie armstrong and if it continues we will lose more younger guys!!! personally i think that stevie had a lot of potential and he did well in sandy but was barely ever promoted to the dees and therefore we lost a young promising player. the same thing will happen to other younger guys who are not given a fair go!!! as for clint bartram i dont think he is big enough or tough enough to be in the side but with lots of hard work and if he keeps his fitness and bulks up in a couple years he should be in the starting line up.
