it was writin in todays paper that the pies have apparently offered clint bizzell a fair bit of money in a three year deal, if he goes in the pre season draft. Do u think he is too old ? do we need him? how will he improve us? ne way give me ur thoughts on this.

Bizzell would be a great get for a PSD pick. I can’t see why we don’t need backmen. We have a decent back 6 but we are pretty thin after that. Bizzell can play on a variety of types and he is an ex forward so he adds some flexibility. He would compliment Clement and take pressure of Maxwell’s development. He might end the career of Jason Cloke but that’s up to Jason. Wakelin won’t be around much longer and it would be nice to be able to move Cole and/or Lonie up the ground when we want to.

I rate Bizzell and I would love him virtually for free. Travis Johnstone has some talent but he doesn’t use it. If you can guarantee me he will be 110% committed then fine but you can’t. Bizzell would definitely increase our chances of a premiership in the next 4 years. Johnstone might but I doubt it. We have a good midfield as it is. I'd rather use Didak in the midfield and take Bizzell.

i rate biz hoighly and think he would be a great pickup...but we need to see who else nominates for the PSD.....maybe a notting or johnstone will be there...tooo early to tell

if we got bizzell in the PSD that would be great, i rate him highly and believe he will be very valuable to the backline. with wakelin having one, maybe two seasons left, the biz can take up where wakes will leave off and have another 2 or so seasons in him

If he's available I'd take him in the PSD without hesitating, even if its only for 2-3 years. He's a tall flanker who can play at both ends of the ground and can also play key position. Very few players at Collingwood can make that claim.

Can't agree guys, I want no part of Clint 'mediawhore' Bizzell.

Hasn't been a whore since he was at the Cats. Now he's just a consistent contributor.

Absolutely correct. We should have traded him' after that outburst and why would coll'wood take an over the hill harlot as good a player as he is.You already got sloewodin. lol.
btw. hair colouring costs money and shouldn't be wasted in a salary cap.

I'd rather go after Travis Johnstone. It is not worth getting Bizzell. He's too old.
Why do the pies think they'd be able to get either of these two in PSD??? they have pick 4.. richmond or hawthorn would pick them up anyway, they are not gonna go.. oh ok collingwood wants them so we'll just let him pass

Umm.....try MONEY we have it the clubs below us don't.
Come on I know you follow Hawthorn but it is not that hard to understand

02 03 our trademark was the speed with which we spoiled and cleared in defence firing it back up field and giving our forwards a better chance of making space.

04 our defence had no cohesion, system or coherency.
Forwards may win you games, but your back six determines how consistently competitive you and if you make the finals the team with the best defensive unit generally goes all the way.

Our HB line should be a concrete slingshot. Spoil and clear.

A Bizzell, Clemmo, Bux, Maxwell group to be played across HB should give us the grunt to spoil but also the fire power to create ESPECIALLY WHEN IT INVOLVES BOMBING OVER A CONGESTED MID FIELD.

Chocco after two years of brittle defence that was there nemesis finally realised he needed a solid and consistent back six to go all the way.

He bit the bullet and created a solid rebounding defence.

We had it in 1990 with Morwood, Kelly, Christian, Turner, Kerrison.....Carlton had it with Sexton, Dean Mackay..... you create whiplash attack from your HB line.... we need that to go ALL THE WAY.

What kept the Cats consistently competitive all year?

Their Back six.......Bizzell would be a bonus as he's in the Clemmo mould........Throw in the options of Morrison and Tex stepping up as a CHB and we are sweet......
