Maybe you should read more into it. They spent 27 million outside of the country.

Jeez louise some people are rage-aholics. They'll find anything to get angry about without reading the whole story.

Salaries (line 15) $34,838,106.00
'Other salaries and expenses' (I don't think they were named) were at $24 million.

The thought that a charity can exist where $5 million is given away, yet pay $24 million in 'other salaries and expenses' is nothing other than crony capitalism.

Can't remember but it's a fair way down, plus even further down is the exact amount they spent on each of those international funds.
I found the bit where it states 'total expenditure for region' and that looks like it adds up to about that. It concerns me though that total expenditure for region isn't really the same semantically as funds redistributed to stated goals.

Regardless, would any non tax exempt organisation be this inefficient? Charities are a rort.

A lot of charities are, hence why I don't donate to some charities, only ones that I know are good. Or in the case of the RSPCA I donate items they ask for, or ice when it is really hot.

One of the pages shows you how much was donated to certain organisations and the reason for. They also raise money for charities directly, aka they host functions that money gets donated directly to that charity, rather than to the Clinton foundation and that happens at some of their conferences. They also use their funds for education and the like, which isn't a direct way of helping, but it may help.

Quoted from ABC Melbourne (can't remember which presenter but was on Monday) that for $3k you get a front row seat at Hillary book launch shake her hand, photo op and copy of book.

This seems ludicrous.

IMO The Clinton Foundation is a poor use of international development funds but only in marginal terms. Their foundation is closer to a parallel UN than a traditional charity. The reason the salaries column is so high is that they're a boots on the ground charity that has in-house staff to solve problems. Their ratio of marketing, administration and travel costs to actual "investment" is outstanding for a charity of their size, much better than some of the well known Christian aid organisations. Many people of different political persuasions acknowledge that the Clinton Foundation does some good work, particularly in empowering women in Africa.

This argument was already hashed out in the 2013 and 16 election so I'm not sure why it's newsworthy now?

Probably because the Trump Foundation is again under the spotlight in relation to Texas.

Almost every celeb charity is a rort. They pay themselves massively and throw huge parties and very little money makes it to the actual subject of the charity.

So it is not at all surprising.

Elton John is different. He pays all the costs himself and 100% goes to AIDS research. Ironically Magic Johnson had about 5% go to AIDS research.

Yeah, this was the centre of the "Pay for play" claims.

Larry Doyle and John Moynihan informed those observing their December 13, 2018 hearing of the US House Oversight and Government Reform hearing that they filed a formal Whistleblower Submission replete with a hundred-plus formal exhibits in excess of 6,000 pages of evidence with the Internal Revenue Service on the Clinton Foundation in August 2017. They further testified that they had submitted the same materials to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and selected US Attorneys in the Department of Justice as well and that their documents included:
  • reviews of the foundation’s tax returns and those of the foundation’s donors
  • reviews including audits of the foundation’s programs and operations, foreign and domestic
  • email exchanges between foundation executives and foreign government officials
  • contracts with foreign governments and engagements with other public and private entities
  • reviews of partnerships with an array of private companies, private universities, and other 501c3 public charities
  • interviews with both current and former senior Clinton Foundation officials
  • reviews of state registration materials
  • documents covering the foundation’s own internal reviews
During the hearing, Doyle and Moynihan highlighted that they believe the evidence they presented in their submission provided probable cause that the Clinton Foundation violated IRS codes relating to the Organization and Operational Tests for a 501c3 public charity with specific details addressing Misrepresentations and Misuse of Donated Public Funds. On top of that, they also addressed their probable cause assertion that the Clinton Foundation acted as an agent in violation of IRS code and the Foreign Agent Registration Act. These whistleblowers also highlighted that private foundations, including the Gates Foundation, that have donated to the Clinton Foundation are themselves subject to taxation based on IRS codes relating to Donors’ Responsibilities. Ultimately, Doyle and Moynihan maintained that the Clinton Foundation could be subject to paying tax on anywhere from $400mm to potentially as much as $2.5 billion of revenue.

Confirmed by a Federal Judge 8th October 2020, that both the FBI and IRS were involved in a major cover-up of the crimes by the Clinton Foundation, so Doyle and Moynihan legal case will proceed.

The judge uncovered damning and alarming documents and facts in the case — which until now has been sealed and kept secret from the public — which amount to a federal cover up by the Justice Department and the IRS to protect the Clinton’s.

Is there a government agency NOT trying to protect them?
