What do you guys think of young cloke ? Anyone know the wraps on him ?? ive heard a bit about him being a decent player but no history on him..

even being a die hard essendon fan, seeing him bump bolton on his ass like a rag doll was pretty damn funny.

I have been calling for Cameron to play seniors since early 2003. Not because he was in startling form but because Collingwood desperately need his body and style of game and need to fast track him. If he makes it he will add a huge amount to our lineup - on the ball and up forward. I love his attitude. He will clear plenty of paths in the coming years.

His background is from Eastern Ranges u18. Played mainly in the ruck or CHF used fairly often as a loose man in defence.

He didn't perform well by any stretch of the imagination for Eastern but was lucky enough to go under the father son rule. He lacked courage, was slow and had no real physical presence.

Since being drafted he has come on in leaps and bounds, as Jason did who was also a spud for Eastern. Throughout 2003 playing for Williamstown, Cameron began to lose his puppy fat and is developing into a hard body that will be vital for Collingwood's future success. As Cam's body has matured his confidence, hardness and aggression for the ball has increased.

When he was drafted 2 years ago I was a little sceptical given his performances for Eastern, but following his development over the past 18 months I think he is one of the more exciting prospect we have coming through.

Also, given the poor performances of the first Cloke brothers for Eastern and the way they have developed into decent football players, it is clear the Clokes are late blossomers. The really exciting thing for all Collingwood supporters is the form of Travis, who is a genuine player at U18 level and can only get better in the coming years.

I look forward to seeing Cam and Trav on the same forward line.

Exciting times ahead.

I though I read somewhere that he might go to Richmond, can you throw any light on that?

After the last few weeks can you see any young player wanting to go to Richmond. I'm not talking about the playing group or staff either. Who would want to cop that abuse particularly if you are built up as a "star". They have run Coughlan into the ground in an attempt to keep people happy. In summary I reckon Trav will be a Pie.

That's correct. We won't know until later on in the year, where Travis wants to play. I would love to have him at Collingwood. The rumour is the David Cloke is not sure if he wants all three of his sons playing for spots in the same side.

David Cloke, played for both Richmond and Collingwood, so in effect, Richmond do have a chance to pick him up, but it comes down to what Travis (and his Dad) think is best for him.

Eddie must deliver Travis to Colingwood and if he can't it will a failure of his. He has the tools to get him and I hope he pulls out all stops and does it.

I have heard that there is a concern that the Cloke boys could be competing with each other for spots in the team which is why they are considering Travis going to Richmond.

Having said that, I'm pretty sure there might be some bad blood between David Cloke and Richmond (something to do with when David left Richmond for the Pies), which is why he was adament Jason and Cam come to Collingwood, which could work in Collingwood's favour.

Don't think there's any bad blood, David finished his playing career at Richmond and attends some club functions.
I believe Richmond had first option on Jason but decided early they would go for Mark Coughlan. Maybe this put them out a bit. David and Julie want the boys to play together so Cameron followed Jason to Collingwood. I don't think Travis is a done deal yet.
I'm told Jason and Cameron were mad Tigers supporters who ended up at Collingwood. Seems only fair that if Travis is a mad Pies supporter he should end up at Richmond.

I think Cam's only hope is to develop as a ruckman who can drift forward and kick the odd goal. I don't see him as talented enough to hold down a key forward post full time.

Good sumary, Cloke Snr was a little put out that Richmond baulked at F/Sing Jason, but no more than he was at MM's comments after the 03 GF.

I think D Clokes loyalty is a tad more with the Tigers (just a tiny bit, he was a great servant of both clubs), but the fact that his sons (in effect Jason got us Cameron) have both gone to Pieland should net us Travis.

does any body know on where he might be going at all co ive been keeping track on him and he is a good goal kicker and i think he does mid field as well and we need that
