SIGames have released a mpeg showing the new CM4 game in action. The biggest change has to be the new 2D match engine: a birds-eye view of coloured circles running around. Quite a nice idea as I don't have to keep imagining how the play goes from the commentary, but I hope they improve the engine judging from the snippet shown. Still, I can't wait when the game is released. More endless hours leading Liverpool to footballing glory.

What do fellow CM fans think of this new change?

I think the 2D match engine will be bloody excellent and i cant bloody wait for it to get out onto the shelves. Only one downside and that is i will have to upgrade my computer if i want to play it at a decent speed :|

The change should be an improvement. EA's Premier League Manager had a 3D match engine, it was good to be able to watch teh match unfold as it happened, only thing wrong with that was when the goal was wide open they would pass back into the middle.
They have a new game out called Total Club Manger where this has been improved greatly.
But at least a 2D match engine is a start
