The team list speaks for itself...

Plenty of good kids...all showing the way...the structure itself is a little short ( 5 talls ; ) but that will be boosted over the next couple of seasons ; 2 x McGhies.

The squad can be strengthened further by Stafford, Chaff, Kraks and Poyas.

We know we'll get a top 10 pick...hopefully the boys will use it on a kid like Coughlan... he's cetainly proved the recruiting boys are on the job.

Next year above and beyond the recruits ; Dutchy and Dragga will make a big difference. Trade Richo ? A waste of hot air...vultures and flies always stalk defeat. Go the distance.

...follow them for 8 more games.

Richo's not fully up to it at the minute if he can get a game & take it by the scruff all you people will get of his back.
I did'nt hear anyone say trade richo after the 1st few games did we:(

Trade Richo??

No way in hell.

I think you'll find there are more problems in Richo's life than injuries.

Looks like Bull is in a bit of trouble, health wise.

Lets give our support to Richo rather than bag him.

Yes, good point Tigerbob. Richo did have a shocker on Friday but it is very rare that he put's in one like that.

And yes, I'd heard that Bull wasn't too flash at the moment which wouldn't be helping Richo at all.

Hate to be a pedant but Newman and Ednie are both 2nd year players. Newman was taken 55 (?) in the 2000 draft while Ednie was promoted off the rookie list last year.

Agreed CJH and well aware...but the angle I was on was more about their senior career, rather than mere time on the list. It would have been flattering to Steinfort if he had been described as a fifth year player... wouldn't it ? But at least i know you're paying attention Mr Christoffski... LOL.

RFC : Rodan could use a week at Coburg...or not...his form hasn't been great and wasn't special last night, but he's only 14 games old and helping carry the team. Coughlan is a dream come true.
same with Pettifer and zantuck...promote Poyas now !!!

pettifer-a dream come true? your kidding right? he.s alright out on his own but is scared s****less when contesting.
zantuck-a dream come true? granted he has improved this year however his footskills and decision making is something i wouldnt bet my house on.
poyas-a dream come true? has been there 3 yrs and if if was any good he,d be a regular by now.

cheers!

Dear Tiger Of Old.....

Stick with this squad, when they string a couple of wins together (maybe this year - maybe next) they'll be a good unit.

I was really only referring to Coughlan with the dream come true ...but Poyas, Zantuck and Pettifer have all shown encouraging signs. I think you're getting on their back a little early. It's not their fault mate....Richmond are getting a beating by a ruckman floating down fwd ...week after week after week. C'mon guys are you watching the games or not !?

Bandy, Riewoldt, Burton, Mckernan.. all kicked vital goals that broke us...D'you think Benny would've let them do that ? Reason Benny(or someone else) isn't there is strictly Spuds fault(i've since forgiven him..he didn't plan for Hollands knee).

Zantuck has had one of the big forwards week after week,,,he'd be OK on a medium...hell he just beat Kingsley last week
(0 goals).

Way to go youth policy.:)

I thought that about Pettifer up until about halfway through the second quarter (I think?) TofOld ... and then I saw him step backwards and take a mark into incoming traffic. He looked around dumbfounded, as if to suggest "Sheez .. they didn't kill me!!" ... and from then on for the rest of the night he attacked the ball really well.

We may have seen a big change in Kane Pettifer on Friday night.

He may have finally arrived.
