Interesting to see the votes for the Adelaide v Sydney match in the AFL Coaches Association MVP on Footy Classified.
With each coach giving 5-4-3-2-1 for the best 5 players on the ground the top votes were Macca=9, Rutten=7, Kennelly=4, Thompson=3 and O'Keefe=3.
The only combination of these votes is:
Coach A
Macca=5
Kennelly=4
O'Keefe (or Thompson)=3
Rutten=2
Other player=1
Coach B
Rutten=5
Macca=4
Thompson (or O'Keefe)=3
Other player=2
Other player=1
I would presume Roos is Coach A and Craig is Coach B and, if so, it would back up his comment on Fox Sports that the only reason Adelaide seems to have the wood on Sydney is that Sydney doesn't take its chances to score goals but they really match us. In the last 5 matches we've had 2 6-8 goal wins in Sydney. The vision of Roos on Saturday is the first time I have seen him look frustrated and emotional in a match and I think it's because he cannot beat us. It may have been lucky they didn't play us in the finals series of 2005 or 2006.
