Has there been any word on what the players/staff thought of the new facility after year 1?
Everything in the media has had positive reports...

There is no viable response if the whole thing was a fail (I am not saying it was). What are they going to do? Go back to Freo?

Its like the new stadium... was 60k enough? No, but any fix to that now is hugely expensive and problematic. Its easier to say everything is sweet, keep jacking up prices and hide the WCE waiting list as much as possible.

Not saying they should go back to Freo. Obviously the cost and available space made a modern freo base untenable.
The stadium is a good point and there has been a lot of knocks slung its way. tax payers were a given to do so tho.

The only negative feedback i have heard is that because of the layout the staff are spread out a lot. Basically for those that haven't seen it, it' a relatively long and skinny building which means that the staff aren't in a relatively confined area.
Which for some of us would be great, however in all i think thats probably more of a negative.

I think the new facilities are fantastic for the attraction and retention of players and may have some small benefit on the team performance. Collingwood's facilities and expenditure for the footy Department were light years ahead of everyone for years but their performance did not reflect their superiority until perhaps now.
