So, a round has been played and we've seen what every club is capable of (every one worth mentioning right?). There's been a few injuries, there has been a few upsets and now I think it's time for our peeps to put in their season predictions for how the ladder will pan out.

*Apologies if this has been done .. somewhere, don't shoot me if it has :p

Looks like I've jumped on the bandwagon for Essendon after the Messiah returned against the Dogs. I don't care who we beat, but considering I can't see the 'Aints making a 3rd (as sweet as it would be to beat them again), I'm going to choose another rival. Carlton would be oh so sweet ... but I have to be realistic. They'll never be in another GF.

I honestly can't see us getting headed this year, which could be a problem if we do drop a few .. but I'm going to relish the opportunity of being "the" team, the indisputable best, at least for the moment!

The board things Dawes can kick a hundo now, so why not put him up with the obvious better cousin Jack for the Coleman?

Brownlow .. Dane Swan deserves one now, and I'm going to anticipate Judd breaking a bone and missing 10 weeks. Hopefully he only scores votes in 2-3 of those and the other 7 they realise he's not actually playing. That or Ablett will steal votes in an otherwise crappy midfield.

Coaches? Ratten will go, but not for Malthouse. Please God no?!

And GC for the spoon: If they don't get it .. someone will be making some $$$ at the TAB. Making up for Fev I guess.

Note: I'm predicting my ladder to be pretty incorrect although I think the top 4 and bottom 4 will be roughly right. Apart from them a lot of teams could move around, like Freo making the finals comfortably.

Thought I'd just go through for whoever posted in this thread and give a rundown on how people went with their predictions.

It's like golf, in that the lower the score the better you performed. For every 1 spot a club differed in ladder position, you'll get +1. Obviously if you got every team in the correct position, you'd sit on 0 points.

So:

52Points:

Syphon
mattys123
Steele
MagpieMagic

53 Points:

Ed_D

64 Points:

Medders

Obviously only 6 people participated, but it seems interesting that the majority were right on 52. Obviously there's only so many possibilities and we're all likely to have the same certainties and the same outliers (Collingwood/Gold Coast, West Coast/Adelaide to an extent).

I'll try to get this up early next year and if more people do it we should get an interesting spread.
