Why do the Pies seem to set the example of at the tribunal?
Johnson - possibly the maximum penalty that could be found, has been offered.
Rocca - ditto.
Holland - ditto.
Why??? Because the AFL can afford to.
They can't afford to offend fledgling supporters in Sydney and Brisbane by making examples of their players.
Was Lockett made an example of when he hit Wakelin in one of his first come-back matches?? No
Was Hall made an example of in a final when he belted someone behind the play?? No
Was Notting made an example of for kneeing Caracella in the head?? No
The AFL knows they can afford to knock and offend Collingwood supporters, because we are many and we are loyal!!!
