Tuddy was a great captain....even if he did iron out Peter McK in the 70GF. Wayne Richardson was a beauty too (better player than Max).
Lou Richards, Phonse Kyne, Tony Shaw, Gavin Brown and Bucks.....ahhh and then there's Maxy. Top blokes one and all, be a great dinner party if you could have got them all together to relive old memories.

And each and everyone deserved to hold up the cup.
I feel most sorry for those who actually got the team to a GF and lost.
Still, as pointed out, it's hard enough to get a game for the greatest club in the land, to get to be Captain is the greatest honour that you can have.
Champs one and all.
I had a bit of a chuckle watching just how good some of the Pie players were. Yet not one in the team of the century..
What a mockery of a selection.

You left out Ray Shaw, probably not intentionally? A wonderful captain, leading us to all those heartbreaking GFs. Really admired him in those years. Was the start of my love affair (one sided
) with the entire Shaw family.

Pendlebury barracked for Melbourne and hated Collingwood. I can't believe that did not show up in his psych test.
