Collingwood Forward Line

In general traditional CHF's struggle now days. Even guys like O'Keefe. The zoning takes away the space that they'd once have led into.

I think atm I see our foward line probably looking something like this

Dick Anthony Medhurst
Didak Cloke Thomas

Cloke and Anthony both having to play versatile roles depending on match ups and rotating between linking wing type roles and deep foward line roles. In the end the flexibility is a weapon to create mismatches.

I really like the look of the following forward line setup:

Didak Cloke Medhurst
Dick Anthony Rusling

Theres some pretty reliable goal shooters in there.

Cloke plays as the lead up forward and with his raking kick can put the ball deep into good positions. We all know he can kick goals and when he gets back to his best is a gut busting and very hard working CHF who is very important.

Didak & Medhurst are two of our most creative players and having their skills and prowess on the HFF line is a dangerous situation for most defences. Both are good set shots for goal and can create something from nothing.

Anthony is a dead-eye dick in front of goal and has shown like he did on sunday that all he needs is minimal possesions to make an effect on the scoreboard.
He has good defensive pressure and strong hands.

Dicky is a silky and quick forward pocket who should remain there. He has very good pace and defensive pressure. Can also kick goals from nothing.

Rusling is the only one with question marks..... he has had the worst luck with injuries over anyone i can remember.
He has shown he can do some damage ala vs sydney in the elimination final '07.
Quick on the lead and strong hands.

yeh collingwood has a good foward line Medhurst, Didak, Thomas, Dick and cloke and more just that rocca needs to retire now or he is going to get more unfit.
