With two rounds to go, lets all just take a moment to ponder at how good our beloved Magpies are at the moment.

What are the things, for you as a fan, that make you love the Pies even more with their current dominance of the AFL?

For me, firstly its definitely our depth. What I have loved this year is that players that have come from the reserves, have slotted right into our structure and game plan. All our newbies at the moment, bar Keefe have impressed me.

Secondly, its our quality of players. From Dids to Swan, to Thommas, to Davis, to Wellers and Pendles....the list is really endless

Thirdly, out three most recent recruits....Taz, Jolly, and Ball. These guys have brought a serious strength to our side that its currently unmatched. So props to whoever did the talk in getting them over.

Fourth, its all about Taz. He came over here with a minimal pay just to be with his beloved team. His passion this year for the Pies has no doubtably influenced others in staying at the club and continuing on for better things to come....more flags! So thanks Taz, you are an awesome player and genuine bloke.

Fifth, our percentage. Its just huge! :thumbsu:

Sixth, we have not let another team get to 100 points against us. :thumbsu:

Lastly, (I could go on all night), is just the black and white colours. Its something your born with. Its in the blood. Everytime I see my team running out, I feel a sense of excitement and stoke. And I love seeing them smashing teams within a matter of seconds. Watching the Pies hit 6th gear is just pure awesomeness. Im sure fans of other clubs appreciate this too.

So in summary, heres to a superb finals serious for the Pies and an early congratulations on the minor premiership! :) Look forward to seeing you guys raising the cup in October again for back to back!

Taz's decision to come for low pay was probably also largely due to his wife being extreamly rich :P and his also got quiet a bit in the bank from past years.

:)....I'd rather the other story :thumbsu:

It's been 35 matches since a side scored 100 points against Collingwood. You have to go back to the sixties that a side has gone so long without conceiding over 100 points. Bloody amazing football side.

I didn't believe that at all, and went and checked. Turns out a number of pretty ordinary sides have scores in the 90s against us but it was 36 matches ago that the dogs managed 103 against us in round 11 2010.

Nice stat.

Buddy. You have a raging case of counting chickens before they hatch.
The finals start in 2 weeks. Then, IF we make the Grand Final, and IF we win it, then lets all sing it from the rooftops. But until then, lets put it back in the rack.

All things are pointing in the direction of another flag. I understand not counting my chickens before they hatch, but god, we are a bloody good side! :thumbsu:

Flag isn't guaranteed, but we still a pretty damn good side when on song.

If we get everyone back (barring Maxwell though it seems), and play somehwere close to our best, I honestly don't see anyone getting a sniff.

Lately they've been looking like they're just waiting for finals to start while they get all these extended NAB Cup matches out of the way.

Your dead right. Flags are never guaranteed in the AFL. However, this Collingwood side, like you said when at best, is pretty much unbeatable.

Maybe we should be called the unbeatables if we get our second flag.

I didn't realise the intention of the post was to start celebrating another premiership, I thought it was merely to boast about how awesome we are and how well we have been doing. I really enjoyed reading the post, good to know there are other supporters out there as passionate as me about my beloved pies!!

We may win the flag or god forbid we may not but one thing we all agree on is that we do have a great team and great players and that cannot be denied. :):):) LOL

Your exactly right. I had no intentions of celebrating a flag that hasn't been won. Post was all about the awesomeness :)...and Im glad you liked it :)

The club has definetly done a great job, not just Eddie but down to every staff involved in completing the little things.

I'm currently loving Collingwood's youtube channel, it's great to have so many segments such as In Black and White and B&W tonight so easily available.

One negative I would say is the lack of intensity heading into the finals.
