1. We haven't overpaid for someone we could have got a lot cheaper. This means I don't want to read we have used a pick in the first 2 rounds for a fringe player from a club lower than us on the ladder. After thinking about it during the last 2 days, pick 26 for Seaby would not be smart, we should put it out there the deal is either pick 42 or higher or stay at the Eagles. Odds are the Eagles wont take this as they have Seaby contracted for next year so its not like they'll lose him for nothing.

2. We have underpaid for someone we should have paid a lot more for. PIcking up someone like McIntosh for pick 26 would be great but again unlikely to happen. That being the case, we can effectively forget about getting anyone else cheaper than we should.
or
3. We walk away with picks 8, 26, 42 & 58 in the bank to use on draft day. This is starting to become my preferred option, keep all our picks load up with 3 quality players and if possible try and steal Cousins from the Saints/Pies if they haven't taken him by their round 3 picks.
As long as one of these 3 options comes up I'll be happy.
*Note: I know I was against getting Cousins earlier in the year but if he can play for even 1-2 more years it would be a great boost to the development of our younger midfielders. So why not take a chance especially if it is only using pick 58 in the ND. Not like that kid will end up as a 3 time Brownlow medal winner now is it?
