We're only a week into the tennis season and i reckon i've already heard the phrase 'comeback queen' a few hundred time.

Surely there's at least one person in the media who has the creativity to either come up with a different term to describe a returning female sports person, or simply not feel the need to use it every time they mention Justine Henin or Kim Clijsters.

Well, what were you doing watching womens sport in the first place?

Perving probably, although I doubt any sane male would perve on Henin

I've not seen a single second of tennis this summer.
The whole 'comeback queen' phenomenon comes through the media.

It's the same with "Golden Girl", or the branding of someone "Aussie xxxx" even though they often have nothing to do with our country.

That one really gets on my nerves. "Aussie Ana' "Aussie Princess Fiona"

They're not all that discerning with that label either, are they.

If any tennis player shows even a modicum of interest in our country (or they have the most minor link to Australia) we adopt them quicker than Madonna does with African children.

I blame Hana Mandlikova.
