Must confess my mates had to practically hold me to my seat in that final v Essendon because I had talked myself into going to the pub at half time.
I know it sounds sooky but I had pretty much guaranteed myself I was going to thump an Essendon supporter if kept going.
The absolute worst team of all to be getting thrashed by and particularly with a lot of bombers mates there on the day too.
I very nearly didn't see it.

Good comeback against Fitzroy in '95 at the MCG (we were 4 goals down in the last quarter, although the opposition weren't that great). Also the semi-final versus Essendon in the same year we stormed home. Never tire of watching that game. We came back against Carlton in the 'Unleash the Giesh' game in '97.

As Tiger Toffee suggested, we got a lucky free which gave us the win. Roys were stiff.

Man that Hawthorn game in 2003... I was only 16 and was with some mates from school and there was this Hawks supporter who would've been in his 40s just chirpin the whole game and being a right obnoxious twat. One of my mates told him to neck up then he started mouthing off to us. Real tough bloke making threats to a group of scrawny teenagers. Anyway, we started the comeback and he shut right up and at the end of the game we all just turned around and pointed at him and just pumped our fists and took in all the glory. Then we saw him in the pub later and he bought us all beers even though we were under age hahaha.

But on the flip side...
In 1987 early on in the season we were 51 points up 25 mins into the third v Collingwood at Waverley and lost by 10.
Was unbelievable.
So then the next week we were up by 46 against Sydney at the G... And lost again.
We'd previously lost to the Eagles in their inaugural game after leading by 33 at 3/4 time.
As you can imagine the season went to complete crap and we collected our first spoon in 27 years.

I'll check my facts but pretty sure we were 6 goals up against Essendon that year and lost also. Jewell's reaction is a classic.
