BTW When is the Panel coming back on?

I am pretty sure the Working Dog is busy working on a TV series for their Molvenia 'travel book' in the UK. And writing more new Jetlag 'travel books' I suppose - the last one is one of the best-selling Australian books in 2004.

So unfortunately the Panel won't be back (for a while  ). Well, at least I can still watch the Glass House on Wed night. ;)

Totally wrong. That's why it's s hit. Can't even think up anything original. It's lazy, unoriginal, cheap and embarrasing.

Great comedy is self-generating. Lame comedy needs something to copy.

IMO - SkitHouse is so lame because of its lame sketches, wheras Comedy Inc. makes my day by taking off people like Kochy, therefore, taking off things we see evertime we put the Television on.

Seems like you are right, although I did remember reading somewhere that the Molvania thing is turning into some sort of TV thing in the UK.

Year off for The Panel
By Michael Idato
July 6, 2005

The Panel will not return this year, but production company Working Dog still has several irons in the fire with the Ten Network.

Working Dog's weekly talk format, which features Tom Gleisner, Santo Cilauro, Rob Sitch and Glenn Robbins, has been a fixture on Ten's schedule for the past seven years and will return, says Ten's head of production and development, Tim Clucas.

"The Panel is not in our schedule this year. However, we have a great relationship with Working Dog and they have several projects currently in development with us," Clucas told SMH's The Guide. It is still a mystery what those projects are. A comedy and possibly a documentary special, one source says. The Panel will not return until next year, but the group's annual Christmas TV special should still, sources say, be in this year's summer schedule.

Meanwhile, Working Dog also has a feature film in development, and another travel guide in the style of their best-selling guide to the fictional East European country Molvania.

There are also whispers in Melbourne that the team, which has previously worked on Melbourne radio, has been approached by DMG to join the line-up of its new, as yet unnamed, Melbourne FM radio station.
