The thread on this subject was such a rousing success last year, so I thought on Opening Night of the 2003 season, I'd get the thread devoted to Dennis Commetti's quips of this season started in earnest, coinciding with the first centre-bounce at the MCG for the Friday night game between Collingwood and Richmond.

Bumping this thread, at 12 noon Sunday, and inquiring as to whether DC is calling one of the games on Nine today?

I presume he's doing the Adelaide v Fremantle game... guess we'll have to tune in.

Not a Commetti-ism but today Denis continued his sustained and relentless attack on the Fremantle jumper. Nice to see someone willing to speak up about it. Good stuff. Denis, if your reading this, can you please do a Commetti-ism about it for next week. Something with vomit or green slime in it would be cool. Cheers.

No worries, Skilts. No offence taken.

I just thought that would be a great idea, so that it would make for easy access every Friday night and Sunday afternoon, as opposed to searching three and four pages back (or more) to try and find the thread.

And during the season, it's certainly a relevant thread for this forum, as we proved last season.

After an errant kick from Dean Solomon he commented, "Solomon not quite showing the wisdom of his namesake with some of his decision making."

Anyone else find it funny during the Adel/Freo game when they showed the Adelaide bench all lying on the grass lifting their legs simultaneously like syncronised swimmers, then Commetti goes "they know they'll be having to do alot of kicking". I found it quite funny at the time.
