for the amount of time and money they have invested in Cogga, he would have to produce a hell of a lot more than consistent senior footy, for it to be deemed a wise investment by the brains trust, in my book.
Classic analogy - you have a racehorse who has run 4th in the Cox plate at its 10th start, ridden by a dud jockey(spud). It does a suspensory ligament, you go to the vet, the vet tells you that it will cost you an arm and a leg to get it fixed. You now have a top jockey to ride it, but the top jockey only has the reputation as a top jockey but no Group 1 wins to his name. You ask him what do we do? Can we win the Cox if we invest. What would you do if the answer was, you will be able to win a few midweeks at Sandown with a couple more at Horsham and maybe a winter championship heat at flemo, but you really are hell bent on a Cox Plate?
So we wait and see if the jockey with the reputation does in fact know his shit.

he can coach, but he needs the cattle and we havent got it, when we should have had it. Thats the shit sandwich he is in as we speak. We are light years from being a top flight contender. Yeah we might sneak into 5th, 6th etc next year, snag a win against someone, but we will always be made to look silly by the bench mark sides, as has been the case for the last 20 years.
Should we play the kids? Man, been saying it forever when it comes the tigers. Tirade of abuse, insults and threats on this forum compared to asking if some people misjudged the result of a footy game. I can see a big diff. On that phone call - i gave my real name and location - on here we deal with posters who use made up titles (not that i see anythimng wrong with that) and these made up titles were mentioned. Can't see i lot of harm in that. Their keyboard anonymity remains intact
