With the absence of the study room, the show reminds me of the same downturn the The Simpsons took; when Homer stopped working at the Nuclear Plant and started doing odd-jobs here and there. It just sorta lost itself.

2 episodes in and you guys have already said the season has failed. I didn't see anything wrong with the second episode plus we still need to see how Jeffs dads story plays out and Chang with Changnesia.

Also the episode did start in the study room for ep 2?

Thought it was a lot better than the first episode. Turning a blind eye to the flanderization of Troy just because it's so funny. Just need some decent bottle episodes (which i'm pretty sure the writers said they have done) to bring back the Community vibe.

I liked it, but not as much as last week's episode. Less laughs but always like seeing them in costume.

No Chang was a big disappointment for me; I thought he might have been a the mystery shadow figure because Gilbert would be too obvious...well that didn't work out at all. Agree that we need a regular campus episode pronto. A party hosted by Vicki with Pierce hell-bent on ruining it would have made a great idea for its own episode.

However, I thought the coda was vintage Community. "Did it work? Are you tall?"

I watched it again and several things bugged me again...

- Gilbert never needed to be in the show again. Why bring him back?
- Explaining how Vicki pencilled Pierce in the face. We know, we all saw it.
- Shirley had a costume on that wasn't ambiguous. BOO.

Though there were some good parts...

- Abed was Calvin. I was wondering what the hell he was.
- The picture of younger Chevy Chase was nice to see.
- The indoor-swing/gym, and Troy getting into it. Shirley's reaction was even better.

Agree with Throne, unless there is some pay off for him coming back it just seemed awkward to write him back in.

On a side note didn't realize the same actor was once in The Usual Suspects

Haha yes! I looked at him again and thought 'hey, I think that's Gus' (only recently took the plunge into BB) so I looked at his IMDB page and saw he was the FBI agent.

Looks different.

Yeah he looks really different now he's aged. Also spun me out the guy from Homeland was Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride.

Didn't care for Matt Lucas, but I can't hate an episode with Britta in her underwear too much.

Obviously the best part ;). Never watched that 'only gay in the village' show (can't remember it's name), so didn't know his name, but yeah not really a fan. Also not a Dr Who fan (who I assume they base that character loosely on), so...worst ep of the season for me.
