My computer just at random times decides to go into ******* attack, it just starts 'thinking' alot and i can barley move the mouse, any suggestions? I have run spy ware search programs and got rid of all the spyware, i have also run a virus checker and there are no viruses. I'm out of ideas and i don't want to re-format the comptuer.

Yeah enough space on the hardrive 4gig on C and 4gig on D

click alt+trl+del and click on the processes tab. Check to see if there is a process that seems to take alot of the systems resources, by checking the CPU usage. If the number is constant at a high number ie. 60+ then that could be your problem...

Yeah my computer used to have a problem similar to that. It was because i had too many programs running (Even ones i wasnt using) in the right hand corner of the screen (that thing next to the clock lol) or ones just running in the background. I try to limit mine to MSN, AIM, Avant Browser (i dont use Internet Explorer, Avant has inbuilt pop up killer and can have multiple windows in the one program, heavily suggest anyone download it by going to download.com then searching avant browser), WinMx (to download music), virus chekers, bigpond, sound. It runs alright now.
