Hey guys, i have a problem with a laptop. I started it up last night and i got this message, "windows failed to start, this may be caused by a software or hardware change", im not exactly sure but it was something along those line's, it gave me two options to either go to Startup repair or start windows normally, the first time i went to "start windows normally" but it just crashed and restarted so i then went to "system repair" and it said that it couldnt be repaired automatically. I left it and today it has done the same thing. Any help would be much appreciated.

try loading it in safe mode.

press F5 (possibly) F8 when it is loading (before the windows screen) then select safe mode.

Also what type of laptop do you have? Running Windows Xp / Vista?
