Given a few were slaying into Brandon Ellis last week , thought they may be a few users looking for somewhere to admit there wrong doing.
Let's be honest we aren't always right and are occasional guilty of making a silly statement.

He has handled the vest better than most players would have in his position. A real credit to the character of the young bloke to play like he did tonight. A dead set keeper.

Played against Ellis in some games back here in the Wimmera. Kid just works and works and never gives up. Couldn't understand why he was the sub in any game. He will be elite, trust me.

I must confess I am wearing thin of some who are aligned with RFC and it is ,


Some of the supporters who post on Bigfooty .
Honestly how the heck do some expect to be taken seriously .
Most of what was written during the week was how rooted we were as we had injuries or suspension to key players and how much we were going to get done by . Even yesterday many were of thinking we were going to get mauled . Yet after a 3 goal win which will go down as a 1 point loss thanks to the fluro clowns , the coach can't coach , the selections were wrong . The same player many have been claiming as the easily in the best 20 in AFL, is well worth $600k , should have been multiple AA has again been tagged out of the game and is all of a sudden hopeless /shit weak etc .

Oh and I have always felt Ellis has the makings of a good player. I was against drafting him as I would have preferred a more genuine inside midfielder .

Will be a gun player, and I have always said that. However, my biggest knock on him is his rushing of his kicks. Tonight, again, he had a few up and under kicks because he rushed. If he can eliminate those, he will be a hell of a player.

Never got stuck into the kid, just thought he should be sent back to Coburg if they weren't going to play him for a full game to give him a run. Glad that he got a full game last night and showed that he should be playing full games every week. Full credit to the kid for not dropping his head like another sub has in recent times.

I must confess I dunno if I can be as emotionally engaged in watching games and live a long and happy life.. Took me about 3 hours to fall asleep last night.

I had no time at all for Jake King. Thought he was the worst player in the league.
Also have had reservation about Edwards but he's won me over.

No one thought much of Edwards. But he proved us all wrong with his season last year.

I have been a large criticizer of Brandon this year but this game hasn't really changed my opinion. The kid is a full blown outside midfielder and shows absolutely no inside qualities. He's a poor tackler, absolutely hopeless in one on one contests and his kicks ARE STILL rushed. Tonight he showed some good lateral movement and courage but still is not damaging. I really want to see him given a full game on the wing. His rushed kicking and poor decision making won't be as exposed as it is in defense and he can find the right places. If given space his kicking is decent but that could be said for most footballers. Lack of pace will be a huge concern too.

I'm fully aware of that. I think there might be a stunt in his development though if we continually play him out of position though. His rushed kicks and slow decision making will improve with experience. The talent is there though, I think if we can manage him correctly, he'll be a good footballer.
