The discussions Adelaide had with Collingwood roughly 10 days ago involve Alan Didak coming home to Adelaide. Does not want to go to Port.

The only issue in regards to the deal is whether we give pick 16, a player or get involved in a 3 way trade (likely).

I'd be very happy with Didak.

Will you take over the website? ;)

PS put it on the Drafts & Trading Board - I want to see the Collingwood supporters go crazy! :D

Do you know what they want for him?

Ummm . . . no?

I only post the negotiations I hear after receiving confirmation from my source. He is disappointed that the other deal fell through, though it was never likely with the amount of Clubs involved.

The Anchor-Men would want to have a blinder of a '06 season though.;)

These negotiations were confirmed by 2 very reliable sources.

I can't believe the Pies would let Didak go, but if they did, I'd rather we go for him rather than Motlop.

Advantages-: A year younger, an Adelaide boy, and he has better career stats than Motlop to date.

The anchor men will never have a blinder of a sesaon beause their maximum wins for the season will be 10. They can't play away and they always lose to west coast, so there is no chance of playing the finals.

how serious is this didak discussion?

If a player doesn't want to be there, why keep him on? We have EXACTLY the same situation ATM mate.

I was speaking to my Old Man about the various things I've heard. My Dad is a Woodville Boy from the 80's and knows the good old boys at the AFC. You know who they are.

So I suggest that is a very serious discussion.

Don't doubt you, but would a club that wants #7 for Cole settle for #16 for Didak?

I also asked to post this information on the Board this time due to being wrong about the other speculation.

The reply - "No worries. The deal will be done so you're not letting anybody know that doesn't already know anyway"

I take it he is talking about the heirarchy.

i wasnt doubting that didak/collingwood/crows had a discussion, but this is actually almost 100% certainty to occur in the next 5 days? sorry to re-ask the same question haha. but yes what do they want for him? do you know that?

I've got no idea. I wasn't at the table!;)

They enquired about one of our players. I think it would be unfair for me to post the players name on the Board.

They did enquire about our no. 16 pick as well.

If you want to know who they enquired about PM me.

just name the damn player.

i don't want to lose dids..

he's awesome..

i think he'll be at pies long time though.

i see him as our next long term captain.

Well, as far as I am concerned, he is NOT part of our Club yet so I will name him.

So you would rather have a homesick player on your list than a homegrown player?

Do you think its got anything to do with his heart problems? Maybe Collingwood know something we don't?

I smell something fishy on the Pie's behalf if this is true.

Does anyone know what injury Didak sustained when he collapsed on the ground? Any long-term effects?

If there is none, I'll trade our pick 16 for him. :thumbsu:

I wouldn't worry about that mate. Our Medicos are the best in the land. If there was a problem with him I daresay we would not pick him up. We also modify our training methods for certain players.

Watts'ys Dad is probably laughing at us ATM. Sent his son over for the best possible apprenticeship and is gonna grab him back!! That's life.

Might need a little more than that. especially after one of the port supporters pointed out, they are asking for pick 7 for richard cole. I dobut they would accept pick 16, unless he is in a wheelchair for the rest of his life or something.

Where is all the media speculation on this? Almost every other rumour has been beat up by Rucci and co. Must be jealous.

Hey CC, just had a look on the Drafts and Trading board and some of the cwood guys are claiming that Didak re-signed just a few weeks ago. Is that true?

it appears he is contracted until 2008.

he signed it this year.

Collingwood forward Alan Didak commits to a new three-year deal with the Magpies.

Cheers for that.

When it comes to trading players, if they are contracted and are willing to go the Clubs trade them.

My source is off the the GF today so won't be speaking to him until tonight. If he is in any condition to speak that is!!

We have been talking about it for a while. We are reasonably close," Collingwood football manager Neil Balme said yesterday. "It has not been signed but it is pretty well there — we are just finishing off the last bits."

Excerpt from the Age - September 7

Interesting aint it??

yeh but if he was contracted until the end of next year, the only reason he would resign for another 2 years is because he wants to put poachers such as PA and AFC away. If he was unsure, he would surely wait until his contract expires to resign.

Maybe theres a rift between him and another player (could have done a wayne). cant be the heart problem as he signed after that.

i dont doubt you, just trying to work out the logic.

we will ahve to wait and see until tonight/tomorrow wont we ;) !

Who knows, but I don't doubt you CC. I'tll be interesting to see what pans out.
