Well, what did yesterdays performance really confirm for everyone in here? I'll give you my thoughts:
* Richardson will never be a leader, not a captain, not a vice captain, or a deputy vice captain. The two 50m penalties he gave away were disgraceful. He is still the heart & soul of Tigerland and with better delivery of the ball and a better forward structure to support him he will still be of tremendous value to the team. But insofar as leadership goes, he would be better off without the tag of captain, VC or DVC.
* Houlihan is the absolute worst. That kick in the last qtr was Adam at his absolute best. See you later son!!!
* Bowden - we all know the story there. TRADE PLEASE!!!
* Tivendale - I've said it from day 1, this kid is rapidly turning into another Bowden. Another left footer, outside player, can't man up, pathetic defensive skills, and for a bloke who apparently has "sublime" foot skills he jointly cost us the game yesterday. I say give him one more year to pull his finger out of his arse.
* Fiora - the same as Tivendale. One more year young fella.
* D. Kellaway - great service to the club, but the current game of AFL football has left him behind. Delist or Retire - his choice!!!
* His brother Andy, only fault is that he is very dumb sometimes. Often cannons into the back of his opposition player needlessly costing us goals. Definitely needs to smarten up, but overall good.
* Frawley tactics - if there was one moment of yesterday's game that Richmond had a chance of winning it was with Schultz in the forward line. His second efforts were something I've not seen in our forward line for some time. Bloody fantastic. He single-handedly brought life into the forward line, and just when Richmond were within arms reach of a win, our superstar tactican extarordinaire of a senior coach "Spud the dud" takes off Schultz and brings the man of the hour "Houlihan" on who then proceeds to deliver "that kick" (refer above) and with that any real hope of winning. Judging by the way Schultz ran from the field he was not injured. So full marks go to Danny for that one. Sorry spud, but you are not the right man to lead this club. A good person you may be, but any learned person will tell you that a coach's job is to motivate his players, to flick that switch inside their heads, to make them more than they are. In this area, you have failed.
I know I've missed out on some players here, but I'll leave that to someone else.
