Well I will let Captain Cranium have his little rant in another thread.

I want to say congratulations to Max Basheer on his induction into the AFL HOF. Should have been earlier but we know how Vicentric it is.

From Football Pks development to overseeing the greatest changes within the SANFL while still maintaining the strength of the SANFL

Well done Max

It's all that needs to be said. The man is so much more that you will ever be. Please dont put your name in a thread containing his. You are not close to being worthy.

Well done to Max

However, when will the SANFL fix the sound system at the gruond and when will our members get proper representation on the board.

Bill and Nigel are there for their own reasons and do not represent the members in any way that I can see.

Have to agree with both those points. You can barely hear the club song when the players run out - it's a disgrace.

I didn't vote for either Sanders or Smart - they are not what a members representative is about.

I would also like to add my voice to those congratulating Basheer on his induction.

It is clear that all through his long association with the SANFL, he had the best interests of South Australian football at heart (although this was misguided on one crucial occasion [sorry, I couldn't resist] ;) ).

I think that qualifies for a great career, one certainly worthy of AFL Hall of Fame qualification, what do you think?

i found it mildly amusing when he considered that the greatest moment of his life. It must be a fairly sad life. Jacks understanding is hes the man that told port to shove it, so atleast he some common sense. The sanfl in general is very conservative, i hope that he had nothing to do with it.

I've heard a few people take digs at Max and the conservative approach of the SANFL, in some areas it can be justified but in some others it's unfair.

Have a good look at how some of the other state leagues in traditional footy states have been run over the period that Max was in charge.

Do the comparison. WA footy got into debt in the 80's. Tasmanian footy adminsitrators are still obsessed with regional battles and have lost footy clubs and an entire state league.

SA footy fans have got a very good product in the SANFL. It has its flaws but it's better organsed than most people give it credit for.
