I'm looking to make a couple of trades before round 3. I'm concearned with Davey, Murphy, Raines and Bowden's performances; at the same time, I'm worried about Charman's injury and how long it will take him to properly recover and, given Wood's form, make it back into the team. I'd like to try and include Bock in the team. Should I...

1) Trade Raines for Bock
2) Trade Murphy/Davey for Bock and upgrade the other with leftover money
3) Offload Charman

Or if someone has a better idea that would also be good to hear. Cheers for any help.

This is what i would do if i was in you situation. You may or may not like it but ill leave it up to you.

WHat you wanna do is avoid aaron Davey and Raines going down in value so what i would do is trade raines for bock freeing up a fair bit of cash which should allow you to trade aaron davey for a fairly reasonable forward. If your game, take a punt on someone like brennan, if you wanna spend a bit more but run with a safer option run with someone like embly.

If i were you i would hold on to bowden. With simmonds returning soon to the ruck, it will allow polak and the soon to be returning hall to the back line which will allow bowden to return to his free running high possession role.

Then next week trade charman for another ruckman of your choosing. Maybe sandilands or somone like that in the ruck. Reminding you sandilands will probably go up in price this week so be careful with you cash on the davey trade if you want him in your side. Run Dacy as your second ruckman just for this week. He should score at least 60 odd. Good luck!

Bock wont sustain his current scoring rate for starters. Charman will be good so I think stick with him. From looking at your team, may I suggest boosting your topliners in the forward line. Johnno and Pav are your main scorers down there. You might be better going for some big goalkickers.

the problem with big scorers aka lucas,hall,lynch etc is if they come up against a good full back or a team the throws 2 or 3 guys on them, they can get kept to very low scores and can get shut down. Good thing about guys like chapman,jonno and even Pav is if they are having a dirty day infrount of goals, they can get rotated up the ground and still rake up alot of possessions.

You could be right about charman. Personally id rather have an injury free pavlich but whatever you thinks best.

Calm down with your trades mate, 'tis a long season ahead. Charman is a pretty good DT'er and is definitely in Brisbane's best 22. Raines will improve, particularly if his mooted move to midfield eventuates, so give him a couple of rounds at least. Only trade I would consider out of those would be trading one of your forwards to get Bock in. Everyone else around here seems to think he's a must have
