If Matthews could coach for 4 quarters, nay, coach full stop, Brisbane would be unbeatable. With all that young talent not being utilised to its full potential we need a coach who can relate to the younger players and a coaching panel that has the respect of the players.
Unfortunately, with McIvor and Lambert replacing Armstrong and McLean all respect left the club when those 2 opted out.
Perhaps Craig Brittain could be a suitable replacement for Matthews.
I intend to see him coach the reserves today, at Broadbeach, so I will form an opinion after I have been enlightened.
